Have had a nice long lie in again. It's funny when you wake up like "Ugh I am exhausted, what a long day yesterday..." and then when you interrogate that feeling and what you actually did yesterday, it mostly amounts to vacuuming a bit, installing a lamp and doing some sewing by hand. That's chronic illness and the constitution of a extremely too pedigree pigeon for you, I guess.

In any case, in the exciting life of Sini, I'm doing a little bit of laundry and will probably sit down sewing some more, but am opening the first door of this tea advent calendar Mum bought me. The thrills never end!

I have over-steeped it! Kind of forgot that was something that could happen with bagged tea, usually they're weak enough that you can just let the bag live there until the tea is gone. 😅 But this one had actual leaves inside, not just sad tea dust! Apologies, tea, I have disrespected you.

it's possible to over steep English breakfast? This is news.
in reply to Quixoticgeek

@quixoticgeek I mean, this is the first time I've done it so I was a bit surprised myself! It's black as night and a bit too bitter from where it was just normally steeped, but still drinkable. Wonders never cease

I have been known to start a yorkshire tea bag stewing, forget about it, find it 24 hours later, remove bag, microwave, add a splash of milk, and drink...
in reply to Quixoticgeek

@quixoticgeek The splash of milk does a lot of lifting there, it's much more bitter without the milk fat 😄

@Sini Tuulia and now I have a mental image of a drawing of a *very posh* pidgeon with a top hat, a monocle and a walking stick with a silver pommel under a wing (I have no idea how that could work)
in reply to Elena ``of Valhalla''

@valhalla I could swear I've seen a drawing like that at some point, but cannot recall where or when
in reply to Fabio

@fabrixxm @valhalla Looks familiar, the lack of pixels and the compression artefacts lead me to hope that it's an artisan crafted image manipulation and not AI!
in reply to Sini Tuulia

@Sini Tuulia I know @Fabio , it's not :D

(I was here to write “who needs AI, when you can nerdsnipe a friend who knows how to use gimp?”)

in reply to Sini Tuulia

@Sini Tuulia I can assure you it's hand-made image. I can share the source file with layers (in xcf) :)
