Well, that took a while. Buttonholes and buttons on. There were multiple of both! πŸ˜‚β€‹ Linen thread is so nice to sew with, especially on linen.

God bless your dedication! I've a pair of tweed trousers sitting there waiting to be hemmed for a month, after I unwisely pulled at a trailing filament thread…

@sinabhfuil πŸ˜„β€‹ Bet it would take less than a month to hem them! Meanwhile, I myself am procrastinating on doing a bunch of ironing...

@colorblindcowboy Thank you! Bonus surprise extra thing: a very tall cuffed sleeve is a lot easier to iron than a normal sleeve, so much of it just opens flat

@Silversong On coats, jackets and such with materials that would stretch I do the slightly more complicated tailor's buttonhole stitch, the one with the extra knot in it. Here I used and for cotton shirts I usually only use a blanket or "normal" buttonhole stitch. πŸ˜„β€‹ It's faster!

@valhalla They're not interfaced with any stiffener, but because they're double layer linen, they're wonderfully soft but structured at the same time! I hope they sit nice when attached to the bodice, but at least the sleeves are lovely on their own πŸ˜„β€‹
