Most panettieri are more likely to have some kind of sweet bun and/or a loaf with raisins such as
I've seen both pasticcerie and panetterie sell croissants, and some panetterie also sell cakes, but they tend to be simpler than the ones you can find at a pasticceria.
In case you are stranded in Italy outside meal times, I'd recommend trying both :D
