Turns out I have an insufficient quantity of pins... Couldn't even pin all these pieces at the same time!

@artcollisions I usually endeavour to baste everything so I don't have to deal with pins because I hate them, but here it's more efficient to use the pins

These are thin and bendy silk pins, so I can just sew right on top of them and the matched seams will not move while I do, but wow. Too many pins.

@Sini Tuulia I think pins are a bit like clamps in woodworking, in that you always need at least one more than you currently have on hand, no matter how many they are?
