I realised it would be a good idea to learn some basic Italian before my trip in September. Off to a good start, I think.

I thought so as well, and proceeded to mistakenly start to talk in Spanish the whole time I was in Italy 🤦

I got to Japan a couple of years ago with four words.

They were sufficient.

(One of them was kawai. It got me through customs.)

(but your words are more useful.)

you haven’t even grasped the most useful phrase: gli elefanti mangiamo pane nel teatro? No Feòag…. Gli elefanti mangiamo zucherro el bibliotecha.

@Feòrag I'm sorry, but that was a trick question: it you are learning italian, that's not the correct image for "caffè" (:P)
