This appears to be a fake New York Times screenshot. I went to find the original article and no such article exists. You can tell they edited an article from the NYT because of the "Listen to this article" button. That is the format the NYT uses for those.

I tend to think of the USPS, and other postal services for letters, as a service, not an industry that needs to make a profit. Once it needs to make a profit everything is concentrated on that aspect, satisfying the shareholders, and not the service, the core meaning of the business, itself.

Now think about that, and apply it to every company. What if they were all owned by the people -- the actual workers and customers -- instead of someone trying to extract money out of us? Cooperatives work that way, no government involvement needed. Give your money to them instead.
