I'd quite like to go to CCC... some point.

And yet, when I go to events of that size/scale, the last thing I tend to want to do is be around that many people.

So I find quiet spaces, with mask, headphones, and my laptop. And I might as well be at home.

I've been favoring smaller gatherings for many years now. Big conferences are always very stressful for me.

But then I also dislike travel, so what I really like is for others to visit my home town and have a cup of tea or lunch with me to talk in person.

@Neil Brown and this is why in the Before Times I helped organize the SnowCamp (unstructured meeting of <20 Debian Developers in an hostel near my home town) :)

basically a tiny step up from @Lars Wirzenius 's option

gregor herrmann reshared this.

@valhalla Hmm, now I'm thinking I should organize a tiny tiny conference. But I don't know if anyone wants to come here to the periphery of Europe.

@liw

Depends, I'm already close by and I could motivate one more (ping @ericj). My wife owes me several days of 100% parenting :blobcatjustright:

Everything between Vasa and Helsingfors is doable.

@valhalla @liw I can endorse attending debcamp but skipping debconf as a variant for people that don't mind travel.
