My bootsoles have unglued themselves again, time to visit the local shoeman again. And once again he will explain me that the OG soles are very ungluable material, thus, nothing sticks to them. I should probably just buy a pair of new boots and stop torturing the old man. Too bad that boots that last is so hard to find.

Dear history bounders, please advice on where to get a lasting pair of black calf high leather boots with sheepwool or similar natural warming material inside?
It will have to last snow, ice and salt, so I guess, leather soles won't be appropriate. Wide calfs. EU or EEZ.

Kind of ugly but very durable and warm ones? Hiking gear stores. Sure, they'll be reasonably expensive (~200€ when not on sale) but be available for pretty much any type of weather and requirement.

Cute ones? Absolutely no clue, I had mine handmade and custom designed by a journeywoman shoemaker and paid almost 300€ for them! They've been very good, but lol.

I'm not sure if I got the idea, but you can take a look here weekend.lv - Rieker or somijasapavi.lv - Aaltonen, Gabor. These companies understand what wide calfs and warm boots are.
