I'd say we need better blurring algorithms that will blur your actual background to protect your privacy, but not the cat! the cat should be recognized and not blurred!
usually a boring virtual background provided by work. Occasionally I'll go through a phase of taking a clear photo from the webcam at a desk in the office and use that at home, which some people take at face value and get visibly confused when a cat appears in my arms
