the front panel is a pcb with a attiny controller on the back that can receive commands from the cpu via the reform2-lpc driver. i wrote a little python service that shows cpu and disk activity on 4 of the 10 leds. each led has 10 levels of (pwm) brightness.

if possible can this be powered by POE? That would be awesome! Active POE > Passive POE. 2nd Lan port would also be welcome. Locking forward or more news.

Wow, that’s an interesting design! A fanless ARM machine sounds very appealing.

Is this just a PoC or something that really might come at some day? Highly interested 🥰

oh, it's planned to be released in Q1! it's basically a high quality case/kit for the existing "classic" MNT Reform motherboards to use them as standalone servers/desktops.

oh no ls1028a that's the dual core sku?? dang that's so tiny. there's barely any computer in that computer!

yeah that is just one option i had at hand, it was interesting because it was a fully open pcb design and blob free in this configuration, which is quite unique source.mnt.re/reform/mnt-refor…

but any of our modules works in this, of course, incl. the newer beefier ones.

this is so awesome! More configuration options for the reform motherboard is amazing

That is very cool. Would probably be able to fit 4 - 6 in a rack mount case for a little cluster...
