Here's something to brighten up everyone's timeline. Yesterday she who is my girlfriend and I went to the pen museum in Birmingham.

Fun fact: back in the day 75% of all pen nibs were made in this city ✒️

It was a fun experience where you got to make your own nib on Victorian machines (under supervision) and got a free antique nib.

Pictures of my nib will be forthcoming as I left mine at my swimgf's place.

@valhalla And one of the train stations hosts the only in-station cat cafe I've ever encountered, so you can pet while waiting for your delayed train. Also: near the excellent pen museum is the even more excellent coffin museum, where the docents are hugely knowledgeable pensioners who used to sew shrouds. #Birmingham

Of the three museums (jewellery quarter, coffins and pen), the pen museum is my favourite. I am easily swayed by a free pen nib.

As an FoD and Birmingham resident, I hope you enjoyed the pen museum! I love that place! Still have my lil nib on my desk to fiddle with.
