Although the movie plot is considerably different to the other plot variants (each medium is deliberately different , if only in small ways) so you will miss out the on the full experience if you limit yourself just to the movie.

@MaJ1 @weirdfolks @PaulNickson No. But I have to add that the reason I've watched the movie so much was that I have insomnia AND tinitus, so I needed to listen to something that both masks the ear noise, and puts me to sleep. So I would play it before I went to bed at night, for months.
The cheerful music and goofy dialogue made me drift off in the knowledge that, even though the world is ending, everything's gonna be alright . . .
