Here's one of my most powerful cat gifs, if you'd like one. Within it Karvinen tries to be cute, fails in an unexpected way, and then does a very smooth save, but it is also nominally a selfie.
@wokstation Too much effort, I'd have had to figure out if turning off search disables it for me also, and try to remember what words I used, and it was much easier to briefly scroll my bookmarks and go "fuck it, repost" ๐
Another one of my most powerful cat gifs, should you require another! if it's unclear in the three pixels this is comprised of, his tongue is out in the tiniest of demi-bleps. ๐ญ
I'm just starting to watch them. I started watching them. I started with Fantasy High. I love whenever Brendan Lee Mulligan, Aabria Iyengar, or any of the other cast members ended up in something from Critical Role. I finally got caught up on CR and I was like, this is it. I will start Dimension 20.
@rogerriddle I started watching them when there was just a couple of campaigns/series and have kept up! And also when there was a grand total of 30 episodes of CR. "Oh wow that seems like a lot to watch, but I'm not doing anything much" I thought at the time. ๐ Dimension20 is so well done, produced and cast. Currently I'm rewatching Starstruck Odyssey, it's great. But it's pretty good to just watch them in order of appearance, it's nice to see the production value skyrocket.
Cool, I will make my next series Starstruck Odyssey. I tend to listen to D&D podcasts as opposed to watching. If something really interesting happens gameplay-wise I sometimes go back and watch it to see how it played out on the table, but I like to imagine the scene they are setting so I just listen. But every time one of the Dimension 20 folks showed up on CR I was always so blown away by how funny and quirky they were in their gameplay that I was like, who are these folks?
@rogerriddle You will absolutely lose like 60% of the cool stuff if you just listen to Dimension20, the art and production teams put in a lot of absolutely fantastic effort. It really shows the teams care and are paid to do what they love, it's amazing to watch as a media production trained individual. The lighting alone is a work of art in the later seasons!
I need subtitles to fully focus on what I'm listening to, so I even "watch" my podcasts with closed captions and on video. ๐
That makes sense. I know I am always impressed whenever I do watch one. One of the reasons I just listen is because I am trying to imagine being so descriptive in my own games. And while I feel I am no slouch with my map building, mini paintings, and whatnot, I know I can't have a setup like theirs right now, so I just kinda leave that out and focus on the story. But at the same time, when I do see an episode I love seeing the set and mainly I love seeing players reactions to scenes.
It's a common enough and older joke that bisexual people can't sit on chairs "normally" though it's very prevalent in neurodiverse and weirdly jointed people as well! Here it's just referring to me sitting sideways, with one knee up, a foot tucked under me, and leaning against the back rest with one elbow. ๐ (The joke is in the alt text, for anyone confused.)
@valhalla If I recall, what truly cracked me up was the expression on his face, a sort of "Oh heck whoops" which then transformed back to absolute nonchalance. And the audible whoompf of him hitting the pile of linen on the desk. Truly, no kind of unexpected trial with gravity and lack of friction here!

in reply to Sini Tuulia • •@Sini Tuulia it's *obvious* that Karvinen *wanted* to fall in that way, and that nothing unplanned can ever happen to such a graceful creature
or at least this is probably the official explanation from the PR firm :D
