@maru btw, I'm not sure whether I did that to organize my needles, or because I wanted to sew something and post instructions on how to :D

(but it is working fine)

@maru it looks like a nice idea. I don't know what it should have to be sure not to fall down, however, so I don't think I will make it in the near future (too many projects that require research already lined up :) )

i was thinking either tucking it in between the seat and the arm rest or make a pocket for a book or a mag…
in reply to maru

@maru I've searched around a bit for tutorials (mostly of remote holders, but I'd say that they would work the same way): half of them tuck them below the seat, and the other half uses a weight to balance them.

I think that the weight method would be more versatile (this way you can also keep the needles towards you), but it would have to be calibrated correctly, especially if you use metal needles.

I have a few needle rolls for interchangeable and double-pointed needles, but most of my needles lived in this organizer for the past 10-15 years. Each drawer held a certain size of circular and double-pointed needles, usually in their original packaging... Size 0-3, size 4-6, size 7-8, size 9-13, and then the really big ones in the bottom.

I put it up on Freecycle so we could reduce the amount of stuff we move with, so I'll have to find a new solution after we move!

i’m thinking of drilling large holes in a nice piece of wood and putting the needles in those holes. Or the jars in the holes. They tend to tumble over but over all I’m quite pleased with the jars. A roll up piece of fabric could do the trick too i guess. But you must have loads of needles to need these drawers!

I am embarrassed to say that I have a lot of knitting projects going on at the same time - something I can knit while watching TV, something that I can knit in a waiting room, something that requires more attention...

And so I have multiple sets of the same size needles for when the needles I need are already occupied!

same here. 3 knitting projects and another crochet/sisal/basket one. I just love it!

In a very disorganised jam jar with cables sticking out in all directions

the cable ones are in a cookie tin (round). But i havent mastered the art of using needles with cables yet...
