but then you realize you're in San Fermo della Battaglia, i.e. (if I'm not mistaken) on the very place of a locally important battle of the wars of Italian unification, and one fought by the army of idealistic volunteers, not the regular one, and then it becomes ok.

poi mi sono resa conto di essere a San Fermo della Battaglia, credo nel punto preciso della battaglia eponima, ed erano i garibaldini idealisti, non l'esercito regolare, e allora dai, direi che hanno fatto bene
