Good morning!
After spouse poked around in the broken electric kettle and was unable to fix it quickly, I’ve ordered a new one. He has some ideas about maybe fixing the old one up, but I gather it’s going to be fiddly.
In the meantime, I’m going to appreciate my cups of tea even more for having had to remember to set a timer to check whether a pot of water is boiling yet.

If you have to get a new one, I hope it brings you as much joy as my fancy kettle brings me. 😂

in reply to Mme Zabet • • •@mmezabet We’ve had two such spaceship kettles before, and this is number three. We love it; spouse drinks green tea and pu-erh and things like that, so those other temperatures are so useful!
