in reply to axolotl solidario • • •@axolotl That is one version, the first ever used. @FediverseSymbol proposed the asterism because it has a particular meaning, it’s simple, beautiful, and it’s an Unicode character!
The Fediverse is open and truly free by definition. This implies that there is no “official” logo. There are potentially countless way anyone can use to represent it, as they best see fit.
I think the asterism is perfect, though.

(which admittedly makes it easier to screen print, or cutting it from vinyl etc.)
