A somewhat niche but important Finnish sentence: "Nyt on liikaa kissoja pöydällä!"

It translates to: "Now there are too many cats on the table!"

And what it means is that I can't see or reach things, because there's too many cats on the table.

#Cats #Finnish

Oh come on, you made this one up. Seems too perfect for you.

@TheOtterDragon It's not a saying or anything, though it is cognate of a saying! I just say it. A lot. Very often. Last time today 15 minutes ago. 😄

The original saying goes "laitetaan kissa pöydälle" and means let's put the cat on the table, to inspect and closely look at something that usually isn't inspected or closely looked at, often because it's either ignored, commonplace or difficult to look at.

Ooooh I see !
I'm all for putting the cat on the table, to inspect or closely look at the cat :blob_cat_eyes_owo:

@raymaccarthy This is true, but the probability of cats being in the way does increase if there's two or three!
in reply to Sini Tuulia

@Sini Tuulia that's impossible!

it is possible that the table is too small to accommodate the right number of cats, however :D
