I am a huge fan of @Knitty and have used it as a resource for several decades. The past couple of years I haven't been that motivated to knit, but in the most recent edition (just dropped) this gorgeous cardigan is actually tempting me. I'd knit the cardigan part more oversized, but I love the airy scarf-collar.

These mitts, I really like them and really dislike them all at once. I think I could use them as inspiration to make something of my own.

And this seems like a pretty good basic raglan? I looked through the grading, it seems fairly standard, probably using one of the more common tables. I'd have to lengthen the sleeves but the size I'd choose to make based on torso width would give me the width on the sleeves I prefer.

I like the small amounts of linen stitch, it can be annoying to knit a lot of it though it looks so good, this is a nice compromise and I might use it on something else like mitts.

@valhalla My favourite pair of mittens I've ever had, I knit stranded in a fishbone pattern from dk alpaca. The stranded knit made them very warm and the alpaca felted slightly so the wind didn't go through much. What made them so great was that I knit the index finger separate from the other three fingers, so I could handle keys and bus cards and such (though admittedly in those days I generally kept the buscard inside my mittens during winter). The finger was enclosed, but still worked great.

@valhalla I also knit another knitty pattern, I forget the name, but there's an inner and outter mitt. I knit the inner with 2+2 fingers together like this knitty pattern. They made one have dinosaur hands, my boss adopted those.

I am not sure I like the open fingers when they're folded down. Folded up they look normal and fine.

I have loads of zauberball crazy and like the socks I have knitted from it, not sure if I have any good solid contrast in the same gauge (the solids I have from schoppel are a smidge thicker, enough that the fabric is noticeably different). But yea maybe I'll make these socks eventually
