You can tell I'm a highly experienced systems admin because if I ever see anyone asking a technical question about running Linux on their computer, I immediately close my browser, walk away and pretend I didn't.
@stibbons @Taco_lad @MattHatton @liamvhogan TBH I was just looking at the letters and thinking of something with an x at the end, a vowel that hasn’t been used yet in front of the x, and then figured you’d keep the u and the n involved.
@stibbons @MattHatton @Taco_lad @thewetmale @franksting @liamvhogan I jumped into reading this thread because I was thinking of installing Linux on an old MacBook Pro like “what could go wrong?” and now that it sounds like it might be messy, I’m even more inclined to push the button.
Because the universe punishes hubris, immediately after I called myself "highly experienced" I realised I keep running out of space on my backup server because I forgot to add two whole drives into the disk array. They've just been sitting there in the drive bays rent-free for months.
