@FeloniousPunk There’s apparently a heavier hinge you can buy, adding stability at the expense of one-handed opening. I don’t mind the trackpad, it’s functional, but not as glorious as on my Macs.
Right now I’m occasionally using an old Lenovo thinkpad and pine for my MacBook Pro because of the trackpad. I need to find a framework in the flesh to try it out. Thanks for the response!
I feel I saw someone somewhere suggest first putting clear contact across the laptop lid. And then applying stickers. So when your space fills up, you can start again and not lose the stickers of that era. So: all of them!
