I've been on a sartorial adventure for three years now. I have enjoyed it. Unlike some adventures there have been no dragons, no underground caves, and no orcs.

Thnk you for this blog post! It reminded me that suspenders exist, and I will need to try them.

I used to hate them as a kid, but I suspect most of that was due to being a teenager, and suspenders were "old people stuff". Well. I am old people now! And I don't care about what anyone else thinks about how I dress. I might aswell wear something more comfortable than a stupid belt that I hate.

I will now go and dive into your link collection. Thank you for sharing those too!

@algernon Suspenders that clip onto your trousers are easy, especially to try. The ones that need buttons inside the waistband are better. IMHO, of course.

That’s an interesting adventure you’ve embarked upon! Glad you’re enjoying it.

I had to wait until my early fourties* until I realized that fashion can be fun, and that I can just dress for myself!

I still mainly wear jeans and hoodies. But I have some items that I really enjoy, and it’s something I want to focus on more in the future.

*) yes, I’m a world-leading expert at tying my own shoelaces together, why do you ask?

@Lars Wirzenius wait, not even an orc tailor that works in an underground cave (dragon optional, but they could help with having proper lighting to work?)
