@Dread Pirate (Tom) Roberts no, no, on New Year's Eve here the weather is cold and crisp, excellent for wrapping yourself in a dramatic cloak (sharing it with another human, or at least another warm blooded mammal, is recommended but not mandatory) and get outside to watch the fireworks.

Much better than having it at a time when it's too hot and stuffy to stay outdoors even in the night, like we're having it these days.
