As an American, I'm frankly ashamed of how many of my countryfolk mock your deadly fauna without bothering to mention the flora. In the 19th century, gum trees were brought to California to use the wood as railroad spikes… for which they proved completely useless. Attempts to salvage the situation by using the groves as firebreaks were similarly ill-fated because of their aforementioned propensity to *fucking explode*. And they acidify the soil around them, killing most other plants.
@pandabutter Ah yes, they lace the air with flammable oil in order to make the sky catch on fire and kill off the other trees when a bushfire inevitably passes through. Cunning buggers. Only koalas can keep them in check. Did you introduce koalas too? Please tell me you did.
do you think that there would be enough Australian communist antifascists willing to settle in a commune on mars? the level of lethality of the environment should be right about what you're used to, right?
and this way there would be somebody over there to defend the planet from the late stage capitalist distopia that musk wants to create
you know, keeping the red planet red and stuff like that
@valhalla I dunno, it might be better just to ship all the fascists there. Let them have their space colony, then set up planetary defences so they can't come back.

in reply to David de Groot • •@David de Groot @Deborah Pickett but there is science to be done on mars!
can we put the fascists on a spaceship, close it shut and then throw it into an earth volcano, so that it doesn't pollute space?
