@jimp Against all odds I found them - I opened a zippered pen case to check I hadn't forgotten a fountain pen in it and they were in the pocket on the non pen-loop side!

We use a magnet to attach them to the fridge.

on the other hand, now my mind is picturing some kind of industrial grade magnet holding a decently sized bag of stamps on the fridge

@valhalla @UnCoveredMyths On the other hand: I have a wooden box where my letter writing supplies live - it's a good place for stamps also, as long as I remember to put them in there...
