#LibreOffice under the hood: six months of progress to 5.3
– Michael Meeks
I am a big fan of the amount of work the diverse community behind LibreOffice puts into it.
If you are interested in what happens "under the hood", have a look at what changed between 5.2 and 5.3. And that's just one version. The increase in code quality of this office suite has been astounding since separating from OpenOffice.
If you are looking for rock-solid stability, maybe hold off a little bit before upgrading to 5.3. I recommend waiting for about 3 bug-fix releases (i.e. until 5.3.3) before moving away from the 5.2 branch.
Thank you everyone backing up this great project! :)

Valencia region government completes switch to LibreOffice | Joinup
The administration of the Spanish autonomous region of #Valencia has completed its #switch to #LibreOffice, a free and open source suite of office productivity applications. Last week Friday the region's ICT department announced that the office suite is installed on all of the 120,000 desktop PCs of the administration, including schools and courts. The migration will save the government some 1.5 million euro per year on proprietary software licences.
