Siccome ho pc scrausi sparsi per tutto il pianeta :) ho ricevuto lamentele da gente imbufalita per il fatto che non riescono più ad utilizzarlo... Il bug è noto, e non ci hanno ancora messo una pezza, ma si può evitare il crash "segando" l'integrazione con le GTK (per chi le usa)..lists.linux.it

Federation post madness
It was a surprise to discover that a diaspora post link (the timestamp hyperlink) is accessible only via the pod the the writer originates. This is crazy. Then a quick read of the documentation, revealed further madness! Programmers claim universal links, using only specific web browsers???

Decentralisation, federation and data export
In response to a recent announcement (https://diasp.eu/posts/4907563), when is full data export/import going to be possible? What is the priority level of this essential feature of de-centralisation?

I'm sorry to announce that, after 3 years of service, I will close this Pod on the 23rd of December.
The reason is that I lost interest in maintaining the Pod, and since I will move my other services to a cheaper server I figured that this might be a good time to put an end to this.
Please download all your data prior to this date, so you can maybe transfer them to a new Pod in the future (given the Account Migration Feature ever gets implemented).
Thanks for the great time and see you somewhere else maybe :)

The ecmascript trap
Can never tire of the GNU philosophy. Another ... web site with gratuitous scripts. W3m anyone? ;)
Tried viewing diaspora in mobile view using midori (small window size) with graphics and scripts disabled. Why do these programmers think it a good idea to require ecmascript to show the menu options, instead of simple html(5) and css that will work on far more machines, at lower cost to the user???

#Firefox #bug Bonjour à tous, J'installe régulièrement des Firefox partout où je peux... mais voilà que je suis confronté à plusieurs problèmes. Sur Mac j'ai le message ci-dessous. Sous Windows et quand je veux accéder à un compte Google, on me dit que vider le cache et les cookies, car il y a un défaut au niveau des cookies... ... dans les deux cas : je sèche. Pour Gmail en passant par la navigation privée, ça fonctionne.
Une idée ?

libxcursor update cause crashes on Arch Linux
Beware last update to libxcursor 1.1.14-2 on @Arch Linux
This version introduce a nasty bug which cause GTK2 apps to crash on keyboard events. GTK3 ones works to me. Apps based on other toolkits can crash too.
Quick fix if you already updated and lxdm crash on password input:
