tfw you want another warm drink, but you've already had too much caffeine (and don't really want to drink herbal tea)

@elfkin Oh, really? I thought I was alone. I think what it does for most people is reduce inhibitions, but uh, I'm already fairly unhibited/have impulse control issues, so ... *shrug*

@gannet oooo that does sound awfully yummy, but yeah, do not want to nap right now!!

@Granny Art (Shrimp) (Joni) here in Italy we have caffΓ© d'orzo which is a barley (orzo) powder that is dissolved in water, doesn't have anything to do with coffee (caffΓ©), but doesn't feel like an herbal tea either (it's a bit denser than (herbal) tea, but less dense than a hot chocolate).

Also, some people grew up on it (while the adults were drinking coffee) and love it, and other people hate it :D

@valhalla Interesting! I think I've had barley tea, actually, in an Asian restaurant that I really liked.

I love that it's so controversial!

I spent a semester in Italy in 1992, but don't remember coming across this option. Maybe I was too enamored of the cappuccini and lattes, not to mention the pudding like hot chocolates!

I'm beginning to think that I need an emergency decaff supply, particularly during eggnog season. But, it's relatively rare for me to have the urge for coffee after noon (my cutoff point).
